Lower level has 3 bedrooms (King) with private bath (Queen and triple bunk, King) that share Bath. This level also offers a bonus room with a King bed and bath. Maximum 10.   28 Pelicans was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and all appliances were in great working order. Beach access was facilitated with a golf cart, which we appreciated. Hopefully that will easier next year, as crews are working hard. Fig.8 Realty is always most profesional and caring.

  Considering the unavoidable beach erosion and renourishment program we had fun. We appreciated the use of a golf cart to make it easier to access the beach. In the future we will look for a house on the south end where the beach is wide.

  This property has lots of possible potential. We were given a key upon checkin. The exterior door locks are all rusted in place and the house cannot be secured with door locks. There are 8 exterior doors and two have working locks. Our rental agreement says we are responsible to lock all exterior doors on departure. This is simply not physical possible!! The electrical wiring is questionable with overloaded circuits and hot breakers in the panel. The elevator randomly stops between floors. The household water quality is well below basic standards (pale brown water) and is not the same color as neighboring homes. The kitchen appliances need to be replaced. Several of the plumbing fixtures are not functioning. There is a crazy neighbor who screamed at us for the actions of people we don’t know, who were out on the beach. I spoke with the management staff several times and they were dismissive of my complaints.

  Potential to be a great house and much better vacation experience if owner spends some capital to fix, replace and/or renovate. Home is comfortable. Living area and beds are comfortable. Kitchen is a disaster. All the utensils, appliances, down to the cutting board desperately need to be replaced. Great location on north end of the island but be prepared for lots of erosion projects nearby. Exterior of house is perhaps the most tired of all the neighbors; I mention because the exterior is a great indicator of condition indoors. The house just sold for a super low price relative to F8I prices so hopefully new owner is going to put the necessary improvements into it. We would stay again if the house is improved.

  The house was so close to the surf that I was afraid we might wash away! It was VERY convenient when we wanted to go to the beach. Its closeness to the surf made fishing quite easy and successful.

  We had a great stay. Figure 8 island is such a relaxing place. The Taylor it self is in a great location. I have also stayed at the Bacon so in comparing the 2 I would say this. Taylor seems like a newer house but does not seem a well maintained as the Bacon but we all agreed we still like Taylor better.
