  We rented this home for our family for a wedding weekend. Most of the events were held at the Yacht Club so the location was perfect. We were not familiar with the island but everyone was kind and really helpful. The check in/out process was easy. The house is dated and the furnishings are well loved but for a weekend rental it was just fine for us! The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Our other option was to stay in a local hotel and having space for family time was the best! We spent most of our time on the back deck enjoying the amazing view of the marsh.

  F8 Island is our favorite place in the world no matter what house we are in. And we had a wonderful time.
  
  The rental office was helpful as always and the house was clean when we arrived. The house itself had limited communal space and felt dark inside. Door handles fell off of a door going to the back deck and a light was out downstairs by the showers. The garage was also a bit messy. Overall we had a great time but we would not chose to stay at this house the next time we go down to F8.

  This is a smaller, simple house, but it served our needs well. Comfortable beds, an east and west facing deck, nice family room (no tv), but a cozy TV/study off kitchen. right across from beach path. plenty of parking. A good value from F8I if a small group or just trying to save money.

  We stayed for 3 nights in October for a wedding - we selected it because it was close to the yacht club where the wedding events were held. During the weekend we were able to visit several other rentals on the island. This property was comfortable with many private spaces, but the dining area is relatively small and dark. Property could use some updating, but everything was clean and worked adequately. Access to the beach is excellent, even though it's on the sound side.

  We enjoyed our time at the Marshall cottage. The bedroom arrangement was nice in terms of quiet when some were up & others still sleeping.
  It was also nice to have den for TV and not in main living area.
  Kitchen could use better knives and dish clothes & dish towels.
  Needed different beach chairs for older people who could not sit in low ones.
  Everything was great until one of our group was bitten by shark and had to return home. Fortunately paramedics reached us quickly & were very professional; our 5 hour stay in the Wilmington ER was a nightmare.

  This was our fist time in Marshall. It is a samller house with great beach access and lovely marsh views. The kitchen and bathrooms were dated but functional.Bikes were not working. House was clean but roach bait was everywhere.
