Third level contains Master bedroom (King) with private bath, Living Room, Dining and Kitchen plus half bath. Maximum 8. Protective sandbags placed.

  It was a delight to spend our days on the sandy beach at Figure Eight and beat the intense heat that others were experiencing at home. As usual, the beach was beautiful and uncrowded and though we weren't able to access the beach directly in front of our rental, the nearest beach walk wasn't too far away and we all managed it. We wish them luck with the beach renourishment now going on.

  We had a wonderful week. The layout of the house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and two children. The only problems we had were with the one bathroom that had a tub/shower (2nd floor) and the outdoor shower. With the 2nd floor shower, the shower diverter was broken so that anytime the water was turned on, the shower ran. You could not turn just the tub spout on which made bathing children difficult. With the outdoor shower, the valves were not functioning properly. It was especially difficult to get the hot water to work.

  Unfortunately, this older property and admittedly lower cost house is in a great location but appears to be neglected and basic maintenance not being performed - no working smoke detectors discovered during stay, ants/cockroaches/spiders in plain view on 2nd and 3rd levels immediately upon check-in and throughout stay. Multiple exterior doors leaking during rain storms - some door thresholds are rotting and flooring in dining area appears discolored from recurring leaks. HVAC air filters extremely dirty/clogged, outdoor shower cold water handle broken/missing, most of the cooking pans are past useful life and teflon/non-stick coating visibly flaking off leaving inadequate cookware to make meals for any more than a couple people. Gas grill found in garage in an unusable condition. Would not recommend to friends/family in its current state.

  The house was beautiful And it has a great location. For the most part we had a fun vacation. Unfortunately, for two full days that fun stopped. The a/c on the 2nd floor broke down. My husband and I had to sleep in the master bedroom and the heat was unbearable. We also felt miserable the first night of the a/c not working, because we could not go out to eat or even order delivery because of the storm. So cooking three meals a day in a sweltering kitchen was hard. The four fans that were provided to us by the management came in handy.They also sent us a meal so that I would not have to cook the second night.I need to mention that there was water coming through the doors and windows during the heavy rains caused by the storm, but we put towels everywhere there was water.
